We collect your email address; a hashed password (if you sign up with email/password); chat messages, including any photos or images you upload or that are generated for you; and payment information (handled by Stripe — we never see or store your card details). If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and verification status from Google, but not your Google password. If your account was created by a teacher uploading a class roster, see Section 4 below for what that involves.
We use your data to provide the service, improve it, process payments, send account-related emails (verification, password reset), and track referral program activity.
Your conversations, including uploaded and generated images, are stored to provide chat history, enable features like "Quiz me," and improve the service.
If you are a teacher, you may create a class within SolvAId and upload a roster — such as a CSV of student email addresses — to enroll students. Uploading a roster creates a SolvAId account for any listed student who does not already have one, and enrolls that student in your class. We store the class name, subject, and grade level you provide; the list of enrolled student email addresses; any assignments you create for the class; and any grades or feedback you record for student work.
If you are a student added to SolvAId through a teacher's roster upload, we collect and store your email address and any class, assignment, and chat data associated with your account, in the same way as for any account created directly by a user. We do not share your enrollment in a specific class or teacher's roster outside of SolvAId.
If you sign up using someone else's referral link, we record that connection (which account referred you) in order to grant referral rewards to both accounts once your account is verified. This connection is used only for the referral program and is not shared outside SolvAId.
We use Stripe for payment processing, xAI (Grok) to generate AI responses, digitize documents, build quizzes, and generate/edit images, Google for optional Sign-In authentication, and Resend to deliver account emails (verification, password reset). Each of these providers processes relevant data under their own privacy policies.
We use industry-standard security practices, including encrypted password storage and signed session tokens, but no system is 100% secure.
You can request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at solvassist@gmail.com. This applies equally to accounts created directly and to student accounts created through a teacher's roster upload — a student (or their parent/guardian, where applicable) can request that their account and data be removed at any time, regardless of how the account was created.
We may update this policy. The latest version will always be available on this page.
